If we have rainy weather on Saturday this hike will be canceled. We do not wish to put anyone at risk and the top of the ridge can be especially slippery and muddy if it is raining.

Since I am the hike coordinator for this event, I know everyone who is attending the event and I have all attendees email addresses. Should this hike be canceled you will get an email from me Friday night or very early Saturday morning.

As far as registration time goes, registration for the event closes at 5pm on Friday so we can make sure that we have everyone on the list of attendees for the sign-in list at the time of the event. Has your sister-in-law mailed in her membership application yet? If not, she can just bring it with her along with the annual dues and she can attend the event. I would need to know her name in advance though to add her to the list of attendees.

Hi everyone!

I recently joined, and the hike at Hunters Creek Park will be my first hike with this club. My question is, do you hike no matter what the weather is? If it's another day like this past Saturday, I don't think I would even want to go! If it is cancelled, how are we notified? One more question, how much ahead of time do you have to register for a hike? Could you do it the same day? My sister-in-law plans on joining the club, but by the time you receive her application (by snail mail), I'm afraid she won't have enough time to sign up for this hike.
